Dr Aaron Zhang was born in China and moved to New Zealand when he was 11 years old. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Otago in New Zealand, and moved to Melbourne. He spent the next few years figuring out his career by working in various hospitals around Victoria, before realising that only general practice would allow him to embrace all aspects of medicine. He is married with three kids. He tries to do some gardening, skiing and travelling whenever he finds the time.

Dr Zhang’s fees are guided by the AMA recommended rates. Pensioners, Health Care Card holders, children and full time students under 21 will be charged a substantially discounted fee, with their out of pocket gap reduced by 50% for standard consultations.
Veterans’ Affairs card-holders are bulk-billed at all times.

Missed Appointment fee: Dr Zhang may charge a fee if you miss your appointment, and do not cancel with at least one hours’ notice.

Ear Micro Suction: This appointment type must be booked by our reception team to ensure the appropriate equipment is available. The patient must be assessed by Dr Zhang (or any other GP who consults from Blackburn Clinic) to ensure suitability of ear anatomy and to ensure appropriate ear drop preparation. It will take approximately 15 minutes (one ear) or 30 minutes (both ears).
