Dr Emma Fehmel first joined Blackburn Clinic as a Registrar in 2023 and we welcomed her return in February 2024. Emma graduated from Monash University in 2019, and worked at Eastern Health before joining Blackburn Clinic. She enjoys all aspects of General Practice, and has a special interest in preventative medicine, adolescent health, and women’s health. She is a dedicated doctor, who believes in providing holistic healthcare and empowering people to achieve their health goals. She consults on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Outside of work, you can find Emma on long walks with her dog, doing reformer pilates, or curled up with a book.
Fees charged by Dr Emma Fehmel –

Dr Fehmel’s fees are guided by the AMA recommended rates. Pensioners, Health Care Card holders, children and full time students under 21 will be charged a substantially discounted fee, with their out of pocket gap reduced by 50% for standard consultations.
Veterans’ Affairs card-holders are bulk-billed at all times.

Missed Appointment fee: Dr Fehmel may charge a fee if you miss your appointment, and do not cancel with at least one hours’ notice.

Ear Micro Suction: This appointment type must be booked by our reception team to ensure the appropriate equipment is available. The patient must be assessed by Dr Fehmel (or any other GP who consults from Blackburn Clinic) to ensure suitability of ear anatomy and to ensure appropriate ear drop preparation. It will take approximately 15 minutes (one ear) or 30 minutes (both ears).

Weight Management
30 minutes for initial appointment, subsequent appointments are 15 minutes. Initial Weight Management appointments have an out of pocket gap of $85.15 (or $52.55 for Concession patients) after Medicare rebates. Follow up weight management appointments should be booked as Standard Appointments and will attract a standard consultation fee.
